About Embodiment Yoga Therapy™ 

Embodiment Yoga Therapy™ is a Trauma-Informed Somatic Yoga Practice that was created by Stefani Wilton B.A., RMT, C-IAYT, CYA-YT, E-RYT 500. With her background in Thai Yoga Massage (RMT 2200 hours), Somatic Therapy (MBST™), and Yoga Therapy (IAYT Certified), she created this beautiful system to create an accessible space for her students to experience their own embodiment and safety within their bodies and embodied community. With personal and professional experience with neurodivergent needs, Stefani's approach to teaching is especially supportive for those who have sensory issues or a history of trauma.  As such, much of her work focuses on relief from feelings of anxiety, rejection, depression, social stress, and chronic pain. A lifelong learner, Stefani continues her somatic studies with her mentor, Ratha Chek in Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy™.  Stefani is passionate about sharing the joy of connection that she has experienced through embodied movement through her practice that is based out of Calgary, AB. Stefani offers her work both online and in-person providing private sessions, group work, and retreats. She provides professional certification in Embodiment Yoga Therapy™ through her accredited teaching school, Mandorla Yoga Institute. 

The Embodiment Yoga Therapy™ Practices:

Embodiment Yoga Therapy™ Practices take you on a somatic (mind/body) journey of connection with your body and breath through the Ayurvedic Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether. Each practice gently invites you to engage in your own self-inquiry and to play with your own expressions of movement, sensation, and stillness. 

   Earth invites stillness and grounding, it helps you to slow down/rest.    Water invites movement emotionally and physically by gently opening the body in dance-like meditation and breath.    Fire invites sensation and gives the opportunity to move through your own resistance while connecting with courage.    Air invites breath and opening of the heart by connecting you with spontaneous breath-inspired movement.    Ether connects you with presence, purpose, and your deepest resource of joy.
