300-Hour Advanced Embodiment YTT in Somatic-Emotional Yoga Therapy - Begins Sep 2022

Immerse yourself in the study of Yoga Therapy that supports the Somatic Emotional health of the body, through the lens of the Manomayakosha. You will explore Ayurveda, Thai Yoga Massage, Somatic-Emotional Yoga, Yin Yoga as Therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Meridians,  Embodied and Functional Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy and Practices for Supporting Somatic-Emotional health, Eastern and Western perspectives on emotional health, Craniosacral techniques, Ayurvedic Energy work and how to support clients with these practices in group and individual settings. 

The 300-Hour Advanced Embodiment Yoga Teacher Training in Somatic-Emotional Yoga Therapy is one of four modules in the 800-Hour Embodiment Yoga Therapist Program. As a stand-alone training, graduates will earn a 300-hour certification in Advanced Embodiment Yoga; 200-Hour Yoga Teachers may take this training to build on to their existing training hours, providing them with the RYT500 designation, those already having a 500-Hour designation, earn their RYT800 with the Canadian Yoga Alliance. Graduates may only use the terms 'Yoga Therapist' or 'Embodiment Yoga Therapist' upon completion of the full Yoga Therapist training via the remaining 3 modules which are the 300-hour Advanced Embodiment YTT in Somatic-Energetic Yoga Therapy, the 100-hour Mentorship & Practicum for Embodiment Yoga Therapy for Individuals and the 100-hour Mentorship Practicum for Embodiment Yoga Therapy for Groups.

The majority of this training occurs online between the months of September to June on Tuesday evenings. This year's training is best suited for those in time zones similar to Mountain Standard Time.

In addition to online learning, students are provided with asynchronous learning through Mandorla's online learning platform that allows you to complete training hours on your own time. A strong internet connection and access to a personal computer is needed for completing this program.

Two in-person training sessions:

This training is primarily a live online training that meets once per week through the months of September to June with two IN-PERSON modules that are held in Calgary, AB that are held at the beginning and end of your program. Attendance at each in-person training is required for the completion of your certification. The two IN-PERSON modules are:

Embodiment Yoga Therapy for Individuals is held at the Mandorla Yoga Institute studio in Calgary, AB  the weekend of September 29th to Saturday, October 1st from 9 am to 4:30 pm daily. Meals and accommodation are not provided for immersions, however, the studio is a short walk from restaurants, a grocery store, a bakery, and a pharmacy and there are many Airbnbs as well as a hotel within walking distance of the studio.

The  Embodiment Retreat is held at the Misty Ridge Retreat Centre, in the Rocky Mountain Foothills outside Calgary every summer. This year's retreat runs from June 8 - 11. 2023. Meals and Accommodation for this retreat are INCLUDED in your tuition.

This program includes an application interview. We encourage you to select the apply option when you begin your registration process. Should it be determined after the interview that we are not the best possible fit, any funds that have been dispersed will be fully refunded to you. Students have 14 days after the time of registration to withdraw from the program with a full refund.

Tuition for this training is $3750, plus GST. Students may pay in full at the time of registration or may request to pay their tuition in two installments of $1875 plus GST. Mandorla Yoga Institute does not offer payment plans for programs that include online training, however, as an accredited school, you may utilize funds from RESP and RRSP accounts and your tuition is tax refundable at year-end.

If your intention is to continue your studies in the 800-hour program, you can expect tuition of $3750 for the other 300-hour module and tuition of $1875 each for the two mentorship practicums. All funds are plus GST.
