200-Hour Embodiment Yoga Teacher Training begins Feb 8, 2023

This somatic yoga journey is for sensitive souls who seek to embrace their own embodied healing. This accredited 200-hour yoga teacher training in Embodiment Yoga, held in Port Alberni, BC, with teacher Livi DeRooy, is an invitation to EMBRACE REST and learn gentle movement practices that support you in unlocking your body and re-writing your story. Central to this trauma-respectful approach is the way that we share and teach you to share with others, through self-inquiry and embodied language that honours your sovereign voice and bodily wisdom. 

Comprised of 3 beautiful modules, we walk alongside you, helping you to find your voice and follow your own body's innate rhythm and wisdom. 

This 10-week training runs from February 8th to April 22nd with a 1-week break on the week of March 20th. With evening sessions held on Wednesdays and Fridays and a full-day session on Saturdays, we can accommodate students who need to attend some of their evening sessions via online study. 

Module 1: Embracing Rest is an exploration into Restorative Yoga ~ how to use props, sensation, organic movement, and stillness to allow restful practice ~ this module introduces you to Ayurvedic and Yoga Therapy principles of curating beautiful practices for yourself and others

Friday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm PST at Twisted Willow Studio in Port Alberni, BC (online option available)

February 10th to April 21st (no class on March 24th)

Module 2: Embodied Practice is an exploration into the nurturing heart of Yoga's philosophy that is weaved into somatic exploration, meditation, breath and expressive practice ~ this module supports you in finding YOUR practice and delving more deeply into your body from a place of ease

Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm PST at Twisted Willow Studio in Port Alberni, BC (online option available) 

February 8th to April 19th (no class on March 22nd)

Module 3: Embodied Teaching is an exploration into the trauma-respectful way that you may share this work with others, should you choose to ~ we explore embodied anatomy, sequencing, and the art of teaching Embodiment Yoga ~ even for those who do not wish to become teachers, the confidence this portion of the training builds is transformative and beautiful 

Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch break (online option only available in the event you are unwell)

February 11th to April 22nd (no class on March 25th)

There are no prerequisites for this training and unlike our other programs, we do not ask for an application. We do ask, however, that you consider meeting with us for a free discovery call prior to enrolling. This allows you to get to know us and we can address all of your questions, making sure this is the best fit for you at this time of your life. This work is successful because of the relationships that it builds, not just with the teacher, but with your cohort. We ask that you only enroll knowing that you are able to make this time commitment for yourself and others.
