*Disclaimer regarding Yoga Alliance Registration and the terms 'therapeutic’ and 'therapy’: Recent legislation from Yoga Alliance has restricted the usage of the terms 'therapeutic’ and 'therapy’. As all of the Senior Teachers through MYI have professional designations that allow the terms 'therapy’ and 'therapeutic’, we as a school have been given permission to continue to use these terms. This permission has been given with the explicit understanding that our students be fully aware that the therapeutic components of our courses stem from our shared backgrounds in Registered Massage Therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Graduates of our 200 and 300 hour program will be given certificates in Elemental Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Thai Yoga Massage and Integrative Yoga. We have been advised that while our graduates cannot say that they themselves offer yoga therapy or therapeutic yoga, they may in their class descriptions and biographies explain, as we have done here in this disclaimer, that they have studied essential therapeutics and the benefits of therapeutic approaches from Eastern and Western medicine. Students who graduate from our Thai Yoga Massage training who wish to affiliate themselves solely with the NHPC will not have issues in this regard, as this is solely a Yoga Alliance legislation. As such, these graduates may use the term 'Thai Yoga Therapy’.
