The Ether Course Part Two: Yoga Teacher Training, Registered Yoga Alliance School
This course is a continuation of our ether course. It is comprised of an anatomy & physiology weekend consisting of 20 contact hours held at the Mandorla Studio in early August and two long weekend modules consisting of 4 days/35 contact hours each in mid and late August. These modules tackle the topics of teaching methodology, the learning styles of the students, ethics, business and dilemmas of the yoga teacher, hands on assisting, partner yoga, and further training in technique and deepening your personal sadhana. There are an additional two days in October on the 24th and 25th that run in conjunction with module 2 that cover chanting, meditation and an in depth exploration of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic asana practice, the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras. A practicum consisting of 10 contact hours: 5 hours teaching, 2 hours observing and 3 hours assisting is also required along with completion of all course readings and book reports, completion of the exam, a First Aid certificate and one year of personal documented practice. Completion of the Ether course part one is the only pre-requisite, though we reserve the right to postpone acceptance into the course to a later date, should there be any question of ethical misconduct or a perceived lack of the spiritual maturity needed to safely guide another soul in the practice of yoga.
